Smells LIke Green Spirit.... I'm Glad it's Monday

Monday, March 17, 2014

Yes... you heard me right. But I'm totally kidding...I mean I'm not really glad it's Monday because of course I would love another Sunday to lay around in yoga pants, nap, fold laundry and watch Naked and Afraid. But sometimes I think I can party my pants off like I did back in my yoot and still not feel the consequences. Saturday was one of those days. And it all started with the ShamRock party at my favorite local bar in a tent with large amounts of green beer and live music. Tent, beer, music... come on now you know this is a recipe for good times to be had by all. And we did, and I'm not sorry. When I woke up on Sunday and there were two men in my kitchen making coffee and eating banana bread out of my fridge I was not sorry either because that is the first time in a very long time that someone else made the coffee. And before you get all excited for me they were just my man friends... no luck o' the Irish or anything for anyone. (We have a strict "we stay where we land" policy as opposed to driving home cause ain't no body got time fo jail.) So that was a first, it was also the first time anyone handed me a cup of coffee with milk and maple syrup in it because he couldn't find the sugar. Men can be resourceful at times, it wasn't awful. I wish I knew what my neighbors were saying about the two pick up trucks in my driveway on Sunday morning hahaha.

And just in case you don't follow me on IG (and if not duh... why????) I'm re-dumping all my photos here for you in all their green glory. Plus a few more for good measure. Not only was there green beer but there were two kinds of green jello shots... insert my barf face trying to slurp down lime/watermelon/kiwi flavored jello infused with mass quantities of grain alcohol.  But I did it... it was painful though. The band was amazeballs... Southern Accent... they do a version of Amazing Grace that leads into Chicken Fried and the whole bar sings along. If ya like that sorta thing you can watch it here. There were hats and beads and some layered shot concoction that was called an Irish Trash Can  that looked really good until I saw the floater of Jager on top... not my jam mixed with four other kinds of alcohol. We had a 2 a.m. breakfast reservation at Waffle House that was the cap to the perfect evening.

Oh yeah and the next time you are even a little hung over or just hungry head to Chili's and try their new California Grilled Chicken Flatbread. Shut the full cup that shit was good!!! And did I mention on Sundays my Chili's has ginormous icy cold draft beers for like $3.75? Add in one BFF to share that flat bread goodness with and you got yourself the end to a beautiful weekend right there. It was about as much fun as you can have wearing pants!

May the luck of the Irish be with ya!

Cheers!!
