Friday Question Session...

Slide2

Heyoooo! Happy happy Friday everyone! I am so glad the weekend is upon us.  It's about 100% chance of rain in Atlanta today and then a cold front is moving in and I for one am stoked. The low tomorrow night is 40 degrees.... that means fire in the fireplace weather and some red wine.  Oh yeah and the fair opened yesterday and will be here for the next 10 days. How many minutes does it take to burn off a funnel cake anyway? I am gonna say its about one bazillion ninety nine thousand and I don't give a shit minutes cause well just look at that.

I am super excited for the rides, the music... Charlie Daniels plays next week, the Bull Riders Tour hot cowboys and of course the freak shows. I love the freak shows. Cause who wouldn't pay a dollar to see shit like this..... ya feel me?

Any way aside from that I complete jacked the rest of this post from Kristen with questions from Alyssa. I don't really ever see the need to reinvent the wheel so when I see something I like I just straight up steal it and give credit where credit is due. I thought these were cool questions that my 850 new readers in France might like to hear my answers too. (remember that spike in traffic... France... Bon jour) Because I am pretty sure the Europeans won't relate to fried dough and giant river rats and rednecks on bulls named "Jack Daniels After Party". That's real by the way.

Anyway, enjoy....

11 answers to random questions I stole from Kristen....

1. What's the best/most interesting that's happened to you since you started blogging?

The best thing is definitely the "friends" I have made. I bet I could hop on a plane to just about anywhere any one of them lives and have my very own dinner companion,  personal tour guide and maybe even a place to crash for a night! #theyarerealIswear

2. What was the hardest post to write?

I don't think it's all that hard to write about anything. Even when I write about my divorce it's more cathartic for me than hard. I really have to stop myself from writing "woe is me" posts or direct rants at my ex... nobody really wants to read that and he can't really read so.... yeah. I really think the hardest post is the first one cause I wasn't really sure what in the hell to say. It's like standing in front of a crowd of noisy people trying to get every one's attention... it's weird. And then you hit publish.

And then about a year later someone reads it. #whenyouareinthenursinghome

3. Do your friends and family know about your blog? Do they read it?

Some friends do and a few read. I suspect there are more than I know about but I don't talk a ton about my blog IRL so I can't be sure. Family, not that I know of. Thank God... I have spilled way too much about my ridiculous dating shenannies and young cougar bait types. #girlsgotneeds

4. Are you where you thought you would be today five years ago?

Five years ago I was an very unhappily married stay-at-home Mom and to be honest I have no clue where I thought I would be then. I am sure I thought divorced but past that I don't think I could have had any earthly idea the path I would be on now! #flybytheseatofmypantstypeofgal #momenttomoment #thatsme

5. What is one thing you hope happens, either in your life or the world, in the next five years?

I think I won't touch the world part of that question but I would love to see someone come into my world that was my person. I hate the term "soul mate" cause it seems so hokey. But if I had my druthers I would like a manly best friend with a party in his pants just for me in a forever kind of way. #bowchickawowwow

6. What is currently keeping you up at night?

Money. Period. End of story. #pleasesirmayIhavesomemore

7. What's the most daring thing you've done this year?

Daring??? I'm a Virgo. Everything must be calculated to a certain degree. And if I did anything truly daring it probably wouldn't be sharable. Let's go with I got 3 new tattoos? #sofarasyouknow

8. Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

I think I am mostly an extrovert but I do require a good bit of alone time to stay balanced. In social situations though I have no problem talking to anyone. #comesitbyme

9. What is your most prized (material) possession?

Gosh this is a hard one. I don't care that much about stuff anymore. I have some things that belonged to my Grandmother that are very special to me and some things that my Dad made me that I treasure. But they are still just things. My Dad gave me a St. Christopher's Medal (the patron saint of travelers, for protection) when I started driving that his Dad gave him when he started driving in 1954. I kept it in every car I ever drove until it disappeared about 5 years ago when I got my current car. I was sick over it for a long time, just so sad that I had somehow lost it.  Last year I went to have my car checked out before my annual trip home to Michigan to see my family and found out that I needed 2 new tires because mine were so bad they were unsafe. The mechanic actually put my spare on one of the wheels because he felt uncomfortable with me even driving on that particular tire. As usual shelling out the extra cash for new tires sucked big balls but I had to keep my kids safe so of course I did it. The next morning I opened up the back of my SUV to pack in the luggage and saw something weird sitting on the carpet towards the back. I crawled in and what do you think it was???? The St. Christopher's Medal right in plain sight. As near as I can figure it was somewhere between plain sight and the spare tire for 5 whole years.... protecting me all along. Funny that it turned up just after I got the necessary repairs to keep us safe on a 1400 mile road trip! #chills

10. Share a YouTube video that always makes you laugh.

This makes me laugh every time....

11. Are there any words that you try to live by? Please share!

The KISS principle, courtesy of my Dad. Really, we all make everything so complicated.

Everybody have a great weekend!!
