Not only are the tapas legendary but so is the sangria and I have the recipe for you today. It was published in the paper here years ago when I actually read the paper and I have gotten many a friend and neighbor completely drunk off this stuff more than once... so be careful. The recipe makes 5 gallons... yes, it's for a party, but feel free to scale it down... or not. It will knock you on your ass but it is so good!!!
Eclipse Di Luna Sangria
2 gallons red wine
1 gallon white wine
1 liter Triple Sec
1 liter brandy
1 liter 7-Up
1/2 liter pineapple juice
1/2 liter cranberry juice
In a large container combine all ingredients in order.
Add chopped fresh fruit (apples, pineapples, oranges, etc.)
Chill for three hours and serve over ice.
Be careful, it comes with a hammer.
Cheers!
I for reals snickered out loud at the "comes with a hammer" part! Cracks me up! And I also cut and pasted this into a Word document for future use. I need to have a party apparently.

ReplyDeleteThis sounds amazing and I actually have bottles of wine left over that my aunt and uncle gave me a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a good recipe but unfortunately or I must say fortunately, I do not drink wine and have never even tasted.
