Weekending...

Tuesday, February 16, 2016

Yep.:

Crap. It's Tuesday already and I am still kind of weekending over here. Yesterday was President's Day and even though I worked it's like a mini vacay when I don't have to get the kids up and out. Mornings where I can roll out of bed leisurely, get myself ready for work, make coffee, take care of the dog, pack my lunch and head out without giving anyone else a thought are glorious. I did that today too and the kids come home tonight so... party's over. But let's re-cap the party shall we?

My weekend was both relaxing and fun. There were delicious foods, both healthy and decidedly turrible for me but I planned for the cheats and I am ok with that. There are many things I really love as far as cheat foods go and I decided to indulge in two this weekend. Dutch Monkey Doughnuts on Saturday and Fried Macaroni and Cheese Balls on VDay. Yes, I had balls in my mouth on VDay and I made one of my best guy friends put balls in his mouth too... needless to say we laughed our way through Valentine's Dinner and so did our waitress. I also played tennis on Sunday quite horribly and lost. But I ran around a bit which hopefully offset the balls I ate later.

I enjoyed several fires in my fireplace because it was frigid again in GA. I also did something I never do, like ever, and it was my idea. I went to see a Matinee... wait for it.... How To Be Single.

Shocking I know. I convinced one of my married friends that she needed to go with and indulge in shopping, food and beers afterward. It wasn't really that hard to do. We loved the movie! Rebel Wilson is so damn funny. Go see it! We followed that up with.... oh a little more cheating that I already forgot about, beers, guacamole and cute bartenders at The El Felix. If you live in the north Atlanta... go here!

It kinda looks like  I ate shit and goofed off all weekend... I actually made some good food too. More paleo banana bread, another spinach frittata, some amazing balsamic glazed chicken and a killer breakfast. I finally got my DD coffee too, first time this year! It was a good weekend, no Valentine's but lot's of fun!

How was your Valentine's weekend?

Linking up late with Biana!
