It's the weekend!!! And a long one at that! My office is closing at 3:00 today and I am taking a long lunch so I would say today is going to be a pretty awesome Friday. I thought I had big plans but they are shaping up to be a little smaller and that's fine by me. I have an appointment tomorrow for a consult with a tattoo artist I have been waiting to see for about a year now. Yes, I said a year. She's insanely talented and also insanely busy so I am super excited to meet with her to work on designing something really cool for me. Cooking out with friends tomorrow night and maybe the Braves game with free Chris Stapleton concert Sunday night. Other than that I am sure there will be shopping, lounging, eating and drinking. So this is going to be a short and sweet 5 on Friday... Linking up with the ladies who farm Karli and Amy.

PURCHASED

Tickets to this... Yacht Rock Revival. It sells out every summer and I have really always wanted to see Juice Newton and Ambrosia. Seriously if you are not familiar with Yacht Rock  here is the definition:

Yacht rock is cheesy pop rock music from the 80s and 90s. Artists like Michael McDonald, Kenny G, Stevie Nicks, Toto and a host of other similar bands comprise artists who performed this music. Think of dudes in their 50s cruising the harbor and snorting cocaine on their yachts blasting Kenny G and you will be able to picture those who enjoy yacht rock

It's pretty much just another excuse to drink and listen to great music outdoors. Yes, the band really does look just like that.

LACEY THINGS

I am obsessed with lace again for summer. Picked up this little BB Dakota Lace Crop top last weekend and I can't wait to wear it!

DUPE

So ... I have really been wanting a big Yeti cup but not interested in shelling out $40.00 for one.  I read recently that Walmart carries this Ozark Trail 30 oz. Double Walled Vacuum Sealed Tumbler for $9.74 and according to folks that have tested them side by side they perform exactly the same. Sold. I'll be testing this weekend poolside.

Ozark Trail 30-Ounce Double-Wall, Vacuum-Sealed Tumbler

MONOGRAM

And because you are only as cool as the monogram on your cup I had to go for this mandala. Because I just got a big fat mandala tattoo... ya heard? And also since the mandala symbolizes the concentric nature of the universe I thought it only fitting that I be at the very center. Right? I know.

REMEMBER

And lest we not forget as we sip beers and grill burgers this weekend why we are able to do just that in the peace and safety of our homes in this great nation. God Bless the USA and all who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

It's that time again for me to tell you some of the things I may or may not be proud of, trying to hide, in denial about, completely irrational and or obsessed over. Confessional time up in hurr. Linking up with Kathy, Nadine, Laura and Lauren

I confess I have been on a ginormous shopping spree lately. I seriously have not freshened up the work wardrobe or even casual wardrobe in a minute, it's time. I have been getting great deals so I don't feel too guilty. Got 4 work tops at Banana Republic all 40% off last weekend. This is my new fave in Navy of all colors. Is it wrong that I now want to go back and buy it in every color? #thatjustmakessensetome #newclothesmakemyheartgoboomboom

product photo

I have also invested in a bunch of new sandals and heels. Good Will-ing some of the old worn out stuff. I feel 1000% better putting on something new and fresh every day. #dressshabbilyandtheyrememberthedress

So far I have concert tickets purchased for 2 shows this summer. Lynyrd Skynyrd and Brad Paisley. Woop!! Excited about those but feeling like all the shows I am really itching to see are skipping Atlanta. WTF... I usually average like 5 or 6 for the summer. Not acceptable. #concertgameweak #butthenagainBradPaisley

I finished my singles tennis season last night and I officially lost every single match. My game is improving and My coach says the winning will come. But seriously you guys, I am so disappointed. On the one hand I am proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone, it was scary not having played singles since my teens. That's 30 years y'all! On the other hand there were moments on the court when I was so frustrated with my errors that I felt tears well up. TEARS!!! Like a pouting child. The best thing about singles is you get to play your own game and not worry about a partner. The worst thing is if you fuck up it's all on you and you can't blame your dumb partner. Aaannd... my dumbass signed up for another season. I start June 11th. I will get this. #gluttonforpunishment #yougoGlennCoco

Speaking of tennis did I mention I found a new partner on Tinder? Remember when I changed my profile description to this?

Yeah well it worked. My new partner is new to Atlanta, 31 and very cute. He also seems like a genuinely nice guy albeit a little young for dating me. Right now it's just tennis though. And he is a phenomenal player, better than any of the other guys on our team. You guys should have seen some of the faces when I showed up with him last week. If you read my blog at all you might remember "old stupid I can't make up my mind" tennis guy. #youcannotbeserious #suckstobeyou

I emailed the recruiter from the big job I'm waiting on hearing back about on Monday to follow up/touch base/status update. And... still waiting for a courtesy response. It's Wednesday and there was no out of office reply or anything. Am I wrong or is this bordering on not acceptable? #crickets

I mentioned I might have a get together over the holiday weekend and suddenly it appears to be turning into a birthday celebration of sorts for some other person. I don't want to have a birthday party. I want to have a cookout and celebrate the U.S.-Fucking-A. #dontjackmyparty

And on that note I have to go blow off a plethora of group texts about jacking my party. Happy Humpday!

Well Hey! I have not done a weekending post in awhile and yes, I know it's Tuesday but here I am.  I really just want to dump some photos on you of all of the delicious things I ate this weekend. I was all over Atlanta soaking up the gorgeous spring weather and vibe in the city and burbs. This is the last week of school for my kids and most of the metro area schools. Woo hoo!!!! So like any good Mom/Blogger/Single Gal I spent the weekend doing what I do best... eating, drinking, shopping and location hopping. Next week I will rejoice in the fact that I can sleep a little later every day and so can the kiddoes, traffic will lighten up considerably and the general pace of life will slow down. Thank God!

In other news I have yet to hear anything on the job front. I am still within the window of their "decision making" time  on the big one but come on... Really? So I wait and I look for other opportunities. Something's gotta give soon. Still working though, longest two more weeks ever.

So  here we go. Places I went this week... Cheeky Taqueria, a chain here in Atlanta. Get the Pork Belly Pops, seriously I love pork belly anything but these with the mango pico were to die for! Also if you are ever in Atlanta please visit Inman Park and One eared stag for brunch. The Chef's Breakfast with a complimentary Schlitz was super delicious. If you order it just know that he gets to give you whatever he wants. Ummm ... okay! I got a potato onion frittata, blueberry scone, quinoa sour cherry porridge, cracked pepper biscuit with gravy and bacon, grilled asparagus with mornay sauce and caviar, and some toast with ricotta, fresh strawberries and edible flowers. Yes, I did my best to eat it all... came close. We also split possibly the most amazing  piping hot doughnuts ever. I really can't even describe a doughnut brunch appetizer. Bloody Mary did not disappoint either. I'll be back!

Sunday brought the Cornhole Tournament, we made it to the City Finals. Well the guys did anyway. We checked out Slingshot Entertainment... adult fun; Go-Karts, Bowling, Ninja Course and $2 drafts. Next stop Suwanee Park Tavern for wine, charcuterie plate and filet wedge salad. They have an awesome patio overlooking the green space and fountain park in downtown Suwanee. And the I came home and crashed. Super fun, super busy, super weekending.

Cheers to a fabulous week ahead!

Oh hey! I failed at blogging this week but I am here today and today is the most important thing right? Yes, because it is Friday and all things are possible now that the weekend is upon us! I actually had a pretty good week. I am still working I know and they seem to be finding a steady stream of more work for me to do. Still waiting on news back from the big interview last week. Ugh. I am frustrated. I know the recruiter said a couple of weeks but really? Do they not appreciate that I am waiting on pins and needles? I guess not. Oh well, no news is good news. Until I get the "we have decided to go with another candidate" call I am still positive that it's mine. So let's get to my five on Friday. Linking up with those farm gals Karli and Amy for the fun. Oh and also Amanda because these def qualify as favorite things of the week.

TATTOO

Got a new tattoo this week...spur of the moment decision kinda.... although I have been wanting a mandala for some time. I follow an artist from PA on instagram and she just happened to be here doing a guest spot at the awesome Ink and Dagger Tattoo and was able to squeeze me in. I call that fate. She had some amazing designs in her book but this is what I settled on. I am in love with black work! So now I have a new beautiful piece courtesy of Brittany McCarty. If you live in PA check her out. If you live anywhere else, you are probably in luck because she travels!

SKIN CARE

After I got back from camping last weekend to say I felt a little grungy and dirty would be an understatement. Perfect timing to try out the new Skin Detoxifying Clay Mask by Valentia that was sent to me by the lovely folks at Brandbacker! This is the third item I have tried from Valentia and another winner for me. I love a good mask though. This one is a clay mask that goes on cool and creamy and dries within 15 minutes. Using a warm washcloth to take it off also provides a nice exfoliating effect. It feels a little tingly as it starts to dry and tighten but totally left my skin feeling clean and smooth. As with all of their products I love that it is all natural and cruelty free. Oh and bonus... it smells great, clean and kind of fruity. Definitely give this one a try by clicking the link here. I can't say enough good things about the Valentia products I have tried. If you would like to try any of the Valentia Products please use code REFRESH35 for 35% off of your order. Click here.

BLOGGING TOOLS

Have you guys heard about Helene's new website for bloggers? Blog Boss Babe launched this week and is a really cool resource for every single aspect of blogging. I am jealous of all of the people just starting out who will have this wealth of knowledge and support, I was completely clueless. I still kind of am but I am always looking for ways to learn, grow, improve my blog. And...  I ain't got time to reinvent no wheel so if I can learn from those who are doing it, great. I signed up because there are some very specific things I would like to do with my blog and I know Helene and her group of mentors can provide the info I need. If you are interested please go check it out by clicking here.

TASSELS, TASSELS & MORE TASSELS

Ok, so I can't stop won't stop with the fringe and tassel addiction I have going on. I desperately need a new basic crossbody bag and although I am really looking for  a blush color I saw this and had to have it. The Kailey Crossbody Bag from Nine West. Since 90% of my wardrobe is black I am sure it will be in constant rotation this summer! Use this code to get $10 off your next Nine West purchase!

MY OTHER ADDICTION

Is it bad that all I want to wear are T-Shirts and Tanks? Don't curr... Another thing... I could live on brunch alone 24/7. I will be brunching tomorrow in fact here. Watch my snaps and IG for droolworthy photos. I won't have this in time but I snagged it this week. Could not resist. Buy Me Brunch is my all time fave for cute, comfy tees and tanks. Pricey yes? So what. It's just money, we'll all make more.

Happiest of Days to you!

So as you all know if you follow my snap chat or just me in general I went camping last weekend with my girl scout troop. While it's true that I am not much of a camper I did enjoy it for the most part. The location was amazing, weather was absolutely perfect and there were no major catastrophes. Unless you count my co-troop leader and I getting a called to the principal's office which was a backwoods trail, within the first 30 minutes of the trip. In our defense we felt the whole thing was extremely unorganized from the get go, which it was. I am a planner so I don't suffer planning fools lightly. I may have said in passing that it was a complete &%$#ing shitshow out loud but I really thought I said it in my head. So... we got in trouble for cussing. Oops, my bad. But anywho, I learned a lot this weekend and much of my camp lessons are just good old fashioned life lessons too. So here are my top 10, so I can do the 10 On Tuesday thing with Karli.

1. Don't Run. Seriously, number one rule, there is no running in camp. Ever. Things can come up out of nowhere and trip you up like tree roots, large rocks, married guys on Tinder (that's a life lesson). Things will go much more smoothly if you just walk. Whatever you need will be there when you get there. Save the running for when you meet those creepy Tinder guys later in life campers!

2. Everyone Loves Tacos. Who would have thought that you would go camping and be served tacos for dinner??? Not this girl! But what do you know, we didn't get hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans... we got tacos. Because everyone loves tacos, especially cold tacos in the woods that you have to wait in line for like an hour for. Yummmmm!

3. Don't Swear In Front Of Children. Ok so the obvious reason is that it is setting a bad example blah, blah, blah. But for real, those little shit's will rat you out in a heartbeat. And if they don't they might just repeat what you said which can be disastrous as well like  "but Mom you said that lady in the green shirt is a stupid heifer... what's a heifer?". That's when you walk away and pretend the kid is not yours. Bye Felicia.

4. Immodium, Don't Leave Home Without It. If you are ever going to be somewhere for a long period of time and are just not sure of the bathroom sitch and don't want to risk it I recommend Immodium. This is something I learned over the years as a boat owner. If you can delay things till you are back on land all the better for you. This works well for camping trips too or when you are forced to eat cold tacos in the woods.

5. Ten Year Old Girls Never Shut Up. NEH.VER.

6. EZ Up EZ Down. If you buy a tent that says it goes up in 2 minutes just know that the first gust of decent wind that comes along might also cause half of it to cave in in two minutes. Thus resulting in restaking, tightening, re-tieing and adjusting for roughly the next 6 hours off and on. Then you return it to Costco the next day.

7. S'mores Are Not Always Good. Say whaaaat? It's true. If you are only allowed to use 1/12 of a Hershey bar it's like eating some sand crackers with a hint of chocolate. I didn't even mention the gluten free, dye, free, dairy free, flavor free marshmallow. Because why bother.

8. Everyone Is Allergic To Something. Like me, I'm allergic to bullshit. Like if someone at camp has a life threatening peanut allergy perhaps you should let attendees know prior to showing up with a huge cup full of cajun boiled peanuts I bought at the gas station on the way in. Sorry, off track there. This goes back to poor planning, which as it turns out is my allergy.

9. Nothing Beats Making Memories. I love my bed and Netflix on the weekends but my little girl and I got to share something really cool this weekend. We made memories together and she made memories with her little friends that will be carried forever. BOOM.

10. You Can Do Anything For One Day/Night. Really, even hang out with 250 girl scouts and a bunch of over achiever Moms. If I can, anyone can. Checking it off the list! No ragrets.

Happy Tuesday!

What a week, what a week it has been. Still no word on the big interview but trying not to worry about it. They said it could be a few weeks while they interviewed all the 5's. You know, equal opportunity regs and all. Any who I actually didn't really even go out this week. I know, shocker. No I am not sick nor have I been abducted by aliens. I have just been thinking through some personal stuff and feeling like I need to make some changes in my adult activities and companions. I have been in a rut, like Norm on Cheers. I don't want to be Norm. More on that later.

So it's starting to feel like summer is upon us here in GA and I thought what better time to talk about a few of my new and old favorite summer products. A few of these are things I seriously can not live without so I really urge you to give them a shot. I have tested them all and they get the Amy stamp of approval!

SELF TANNER

I have been using Sun Laboratories self tanner for about 5 years and I swear by it. It smells like almond extract and goes on like chocolate pudding so you can see exactly where you are putting it. For my skin tone it leaves me exactly the dark golden brown I used to get baking in the Tallahassee sun when I was in college. Do wear gloves as it will stain your hands and do work quickly, it's quick to leave a mark. But... it lasts for several days and looks gorgeous!

BODY BRONZER

I just got this last weekend and am loving it. Benefit Hoola Zero Tan Lines is a bronzer, not a self tanner. I like to use a bronzer when I am in between self tanner applications or just in a hurry. It goes on very sheer and comes with a buffing applicator that snaps right in the top of the lid. My feet are virtually always a few shades lighter because "tennis tan" this worked great for evening out the tops of my feet to be sandal ready and match my legs. It's $30 so a little pricey but worth it I think.

NAIL POLISH

Summer is for blue nails and  Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in B Girl is my fave. It is bright, beachy and Tiffany-ish. Miracle Gel is my favorite gel polish too, wears for several days on me without chipping.

FACE BRONZER

Well I had to jump on this bandwagon too after Biana posted about it last week. Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer. You guys... it smells like Hawaiian Tropic meets a giant Pina Colada and goes on like the name says... Butter. I LOVE IT. I chose the darker color and it look so pretty and natural. The compact is also a really nice design with a super soft sponge applicator and a mirror tucked into the bottom half of the compact. Get this one, for around $14 you can't beat it!

SUN BLOCK

First of all stay out of the sun but if you can't cover your damn self up! Neutrogena Sunblock is my absolute favorite. This one is actually new because of course they have discontinued the one I wanted to tell you about but it looks pretty similar. Cool Dry Sport is specifically designed to cover yet allow sweat to escape and evaporate, thus helping your body to cool itself. And when I play tennis in GA in July and it's 110 degrees on the court that is exactly what I need.

FROGG TOGG

I could not make it through tennis, yard work, outdoor events in general in the summer without my Frogg Togg Chilly Pad. If you or someone you love does anything outside in the summer you need this. Think Father's Day! I wet mine and keep it in its container or in a ziploc inside my little cooler at tennis matches. It's like draping an ice cold, absorbent wet blanket around your neck. When you are cooking hot and need to cool off or dry off quickly it really works.

FUNNY STUFF

And finally just a few funny things to make you smile...
