Humpday Confessions....

Wednesday, January 8, 2014

One of my new favorite reads is Kathy at Vodka and Soda so I thought I would tag along for a little gut spilling with her today.

So it's my first couple of days into the Jillian Michaels DVD Challenge with  Holly and the girls and I already took a rest day. Is that bad? Yesterday was my daughter's 15th birthday and she asked me to make her favorite dinner for her and her bestie... Crab Fettuccine Alfredo... so I had to cook. And I ate a teeny portion and I had one bite of skipped the cake. And my butt is killing me from doing squats. But I didn't drink wine.

My kids went back to school today and I couldn't be happier. Now I can go back to planning lunchtime quickies at my house cause no one is there during the day. Just kidding... but I would totally do that if the opportunity presented itself.

The realization has hit me that I am once again completely fucking broke. Like broker than broke. Like I can't spend a dime in the month of January except to pay bills and buy food. And unfortunately this means I  might have to resort to drinking box wine... or jug wine... even worse. And I need to get more dinner/lunch dates lined up... quickly.

I got back on the online dating bandwagon recently ant my favorite thing about it right now  is making fun of the losers that I'm meeting. And you folks seem to be enjoying it too so I will tough it out and keep going for you guys. Because where else are you going to get this kind of entertainment???

My brain is still full of random stuff... maybe it's the lack of empty calories.

One other confession... after a couple days of eating cleaner and not drinking I am feeling really good. It always amazes me how fast you start feeling 100% better. I am less tired, less bloated and somewhat excited about healthy eating rather than being generally pissed off. Funny how that works!

  1. I'm glad I found your blog through the link up because I love reading dating horror stories. And since you need some free meals, it all works out!

  2. oh gawwdd I love dating horror stories! losers aren't the best for dates, but pay for dinner and give pretty awesome stories!

  3. Well, I love confessions of any kind because I'm freaking nosey . . . but I get how hard it is to come clean about stuff so good for you . . . and none of those were earth shattering so there's that. The crazy dating/potential date stories are my fave though . . . make me appreciate my own husband when he's bugging the shiz outta me!!

  4. amy!! thanks for linking up and your wonderful shout-out :) which means you immediately got added to my reader, obvs.

JM is badass. i sometimes workout to her body revolution DVD if i'm pressed for time and i when i jacked up my weight to her last workout of the program, i was SORE for a day and a half. i love her; she's so motivating!

dating horror stories are the best and so hilarious! i had a guy ask me out, then call me and asked when i was going to pick him up because he didn't own a car. sorry! i ain't your driver! BYEEEEE!
