Liars Are Losers

It's one of my biggest pet peeves... Why on Earth do people lie so much??? I mean really, how do they keep all of their shit straight? I am just going to bitch here a little today and maybe, just maybe it will make me feel better... about the stupid lying idgits out there.  In case you hadn't guessed, I caught someone in a lie and I don't ever call someone out for the little lies. But this friend of mine lied to me about where he was going to be and for no apparent reason. Cause I didn't care where he was I was just asking ... randomly. But he lied, and I don't even know if he remembers that he told me two different things... sad but true.

Have you ever lied? Of course you have. We all have. I have. Do I lie a lot? No... and here's why.

1. Because.... I assume everyone is like me in that when people talk I pay attention.

I listen to what they say and I remember shit. I have talked about this here before... it's an odd quality that I have that I remember tons of minutia. A lot of that minutia is what other people tell me, about themselves, their lives, their habits, their beliefs, their PLANS. The people that are in my life are the ones I'm really talking about here. I listen to what you say... this is your final warning.

2. Because.... thru the beauty and intrusiveness of social media it is way too easy to fuck up and get caught, but good... in a humongous bald faced lie.

Let me give you some advice lying liars who lie... guess what doesn't lie??? Global Positioning Satellites aka GPS. They don't lie. And if you have location services turned on on  your phone don't get mad when you forget and wind up somewhere ya ain't supposed to be... and check in. I have 3 children and an ex-husband, I know how to track human beings better than your average bear... don't underestimate my skillz.

3. Because... it's God Damned exhausting to have to keep up with an exorbitant amount of lies and I don't have the time or the energy fo dat!

And apparently neither do most people because they screw it up a lot and get caught in their own lies. I'm not even talking about big stuff. Which is even more stupid if you ask me, lying about little insignificant things. Why on earth would anyone do that? And maybe I'm the only freak who notices but it really annoys me.

I'm not big on confrontation, it makes me really uncomfortable.  If the lie is something big and it affects me profoundly then of course I will, but maybe not always even then. I tend to file it away and just make a mental note of it because it is truly a glimpse into a person. It's so disappointing too when someone lies to you because for whatever reason you weren't worth the truth. Whats even more disappointing is how many times people don't even realize they are telling you something different than they told you before.  If you're ever not sure what you told me before, don't worry I can refresh your memory!

And here's the crazy part... nine times out of ten I walk away from the person who told the lie thinking that was so stupid. I don't even care about the thing you thought was so important you had to lie about. You could have told me the truth and chances are I would have said "ok, whatever".

I try really hard to always be truthful because it's just easier. One of my BF's always gets after me saying "why are you saying that? Don't say that, make something up. Don't give up any info. Don't take pictures here, don't check in there, blah, blah, blah". I am an open book about a lot of things, maybe to a fault but there is one thing I cannot say and that is...

And I never will be. What's your biggest pet peeve when it comes to people and their faults?

And I pee in the shower too.

  1. Yea I can't stand liars. Once you tell a lie, you got to tell another lie to get out of the 1st one and it's a never ending process. Plus, once you lie to me one time I'm done with you and will act like you fell off the face of the earth

  2. I haaaate liars. That's why I'm so TMI a lot. B/c if you don't like me for how I am... then seeyaaaa! I don't have the energy or inclination to keep up some fa├žade.

  3. i used to be a little liar when i was a teenager and then i would start to get caught out, so i got over that real fast. too much energy. also as i have gotten older i have realised i dont have time for people i dont like, so its easier to be myself with people i do like.

  4. people who feel the need to lie about stupid shit that doesn't even matter make me laugh. like if you don't want to come out or don't feel like doing something. just tell me the truth! if my friends want to meet for dinner at 8pm, i'm like sorry bitches; that's way too late for me to eat. change that shizz to 5pm and i'm there otherwise, have a great time! or when i want to leave early because i'm bored or tired, i tell them im tired and want to sleep or i'm bored and i'm going to punch myself in the face if i have to stay here one more minute.

    Vodka and Soda

  5. Hey Amy!! Omg liars.. sighh I thought they were a dying breed but sadly guess not. I never lie and never feel the need too.. Its the biggest sign of immaturity for me and have no time in my life for people like that. If someone lies a lot I immediately believe there something wrong with them and usually disassociate with them lol. Never understood it! Esp. when there's no need to lie about ''it'' in the first place. Its just down right weird, lol!

  6. I use to tell little fibs mainly when I wanted to get out of doing I just say "listen I'm's not going to happen". It has taken a lot of stress out of my life to just be honest!

  7. and I pee in the shower too <HAHAHA!

I hate liars its so annoying. My ex husband used to make up the most ridiculous lies Ive ever heard. I seriously wanted to punch him in the face. Verizon is lying.. wait what?! That was the best one when I caught him cheating...bc a major corporation cares if your wife leaves you or not right!

  8. UGH lies. ZERO time for that crap. It's even worse when you deal with a really bad liar too and they think they're going to get away with pulling a fast one on you. My favorite is seeing the look on their faces when you call them out on it. Because I just have to.
