50 Shades of Grey comes out this week... is it weird that I could care less about seeing it? I read all 3 books rather quickly when they were all the rage and it was hot and all of that but, I just don't have high hopes for the movie. I think I can't get past the fact that the actors portraying the characters look nothing like they did in my mind. it just doesn't fit for me. Is everyone going to see it this weekend?
The Walking Dead was back last night and I would give the overall episode a B at best. It was a lot of recap and foreshadowing of the episode in the actual episode. Give us something new after all this waiting! And more Daryl Dixon wouldn't hurt either. I won't be a spoiler even though social media blew up last night so if you don't know what happened I don't know where you are hiding.

I made some killer paleo Rosemary Sun-Dried Tomato Meatballs in the crockpot on Sunday. The recipe is from one of my favorite cookbooks, The Paleo Kitchen, and they were to die for. I even splurged and had a
I also took a stab at cooking with Ghee and made another batch of 3 Ingredient Fudge Bites. I am freaking addicted to these things. Here again... never thought I would be hyping dairy free, soy free, nut free, gluten free anything but this stuff is awesome and takes like 10 minutes to make. Hide it from your kids/hubs.
I sat this weekend out of tennis in favor of cheering on my team who kinda sorta fell apart but oh well. It was 60 and sunny in GA so just a great day to be outside. I drank some wine for the first time in forever and it was delicious. I made my weekly Friday night ( yes it's becoming a thing on kid free weekends because I am a loser) trek to Sprouts for supplies and discovered roasted Macadamia nut butter which is pretty much as good as it sounds.
It's Valentine's week y'all in case you missed the 50 bajillion signs out there. But if you need a little something for your special night and you want it fo free here is your chance to get some cash from Victoria's Secret courtesy of me and these lovely ladies!

You got hooked to HOC just in time for the new season to start this month!!! I know what you mean about the characters in the movie not being how you pictured them, but it's not stopping me from going to see the movie on Thursday lol!! Hope you have a great monday and good job on getting started with your taxes!! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston
ReplyDeletei haven't read 50 shades - i tried but couldn't read more than the first page. i kinda want to see the movie (i might wait for dvd) just because i'm curious, lol. those meatballs look delish!
ReplyDeleteThose fudge bites look amazing! Where did you get the ingredients? I'm on the fence about 50 Shades. I will probably watch when it is on TV but definitely not in the theaters. I'm not that thirsty.
ReplyDeleteI need to make those fudge bites and get macadamia butter asap!! Yum!
ReplyDeleteFifty Shades.....I loved the first 2 books and by the 3rd was over it. The movie doesn't even look good!
I had heard that last nights episode was going to be the best of the entire season so unfortunately, in my mind, had huge expectations.. I thought it was good (I'd give it a B too) but not nearly the best of the season. It was a pretty stressful episode though!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't get into House of Cards, but I kinda hate politics so didn't surprise me. I am so glad with Walking Dead being back but that episode was so not needed. The fudge looks delicious!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read 50 Shades yet but I need to just so I can see the movie and know what the H I'm watching, lol. Your dinner looks great!! yummy!
ReplyDeleteThe meatballs are too die for.... I will be making them over and over I am sure!
DeleteOh yes I love it when I see people getting addicted to House of Cards. It really is great! Those meatballs look amazing, I love reading all your healthy recipes! I'm with you on 50 shades, I'll see it but I'm not running to the theater.
ReplyDeleteHouse of Cards is amazing. Kevin Spacey freaking rocks.
ReplyDeleteI read 50 Shades. My friend wants me to go see the movie. Meh.
I'm not excited to see 50 Shades. There is no way they can make that book into a good movie without it being X-rated and I certainly don't see that making theaters!
ReplyDeleteI dont really care to see 50 shades either meh. Those meatballs look like a fun recipe, glad you got to have a little parm on yours too.
ReplyDeleteI'm on the fence about 50 Shades of Grey. I read the books but only because I was at the beach and friend had the first one. Of course, I had to read the rest after that but I don't have a real desire to see the movie. However, I am curious so I may wait till it's out on DVD. And goodness...The Walking Dead! I'm ready for some good stuff to happen and not so much dying. It's been a long time since they've had anything positive to happen.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get into the whole 50 Shades thing. I think I got to the 8th chapter of the first book and was like "this is dumb." lol
