It's going to snow in GA tomorrow!!!! Citizens man your battle stations!!! All hands on deck!!! Take Cover!!! For God's sake get to the store and buy all the milk, bread and eggs.... it's time to make a shit ton of french toast!!!!

Seriously folks, GA ain't taken any chances this time. Here is the official statement from my kids school:

ALERT! Forsyth County Schools CLOSED Tuesday, 2/11!

Forsyth County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 because of the county being placed under a winter storm warning and a state of emergency. All after school activities and athletics have been cancelled for Tuesday.

No decision has been made concerning the status of school after Tuesday.

Oh Lawd....

On another note this crazy cat lady has had one hell of a Monday at work so sorry but this post is kind of late to the party and a little on the pithy side for me. I like to get my yammering in on Monday but today was not my day for yammering. We have a new ~~nerd~~ guy in the office as of today and homeslice asks about eleventy bajillion questions and has about that many stories too. I work with engineers so when I say nerds I am not exagerrating. We are talking gamers, dragon con-ers, people who dress up and re-enact civil war type nerds. And he can talk.... bless his heart (which if ya don't know means "you're a fucking idiot" in southern speak). So this about sums up how I spent my day....

If I am not buried under ~~1" of~~ a pile of snow I'll catch ya on the flipside.

I think it's so funny/interesting to see the perspective on snowy weather from people who don't often get it. I know you're kidding but I also know some people are totally freaking out right now!

I wish we'd get some of that snow. and i live in GA but we didnt this last time and doubt we do this time. and i live too far south to get any. we get it every 6 to 10 yrs and the last time we got it was 4 years ago. those kids need to be out instead being locked up in the school over night. they need to be warned in advance and do right instead of being a bunch of dumb asses

i am so tired of the winter. but i do think it's funny how people react when snow is coming and they're not used to it. it would be the same if we (torontonians) heard that a huge hurricane or earth quake or tornado was going to hit the city. we are in no way prepared for any of that shit so i bet our city would freak out too.

People who talk to much about nothing are the worst, especially at work. Hopefully when he's not so new he'll settle down and not be so annoying.
