Teami Blends One Week Update - 30 Day Detox

Saturday, January 10, 2015

Checking in for a quick update on my Teami 30 Day Detox today. I am past the 7 day mark now so I felt like this would be a good time for a preliminary review. I have been getting a lot of questions so here are my thoughts.

Regimen:

1 cup of skinny tea every morning, 1 cup of colon tea every other night before going to bed. Eat a healthy balanced diet and get some exercise.

How it tastes/looks/smells:

I am a tea drinker so I like the taste and everything about it in general. The skinny tea is very mild and reminds me of an English breakfast kind of flavor and aroma. The colon tea is a little stronger and darker with a hint of a bitter herb tea which I like. It has a stronger aroma and color too.

How I feel:

I have had a lot more energy than I typically would the first seven days of a detox. I am sleeping thru the night and waking up with energy. Prior I would often wake up in the middle of the night and have trouble getting back to sleep so this is a very nice side effect. I am not craving. Really. I am not feeling overly hungry/wanting to eat for no reason. This is huge cause I'm a grazer. I could eat all day long and that seems to have dissipated and I am thrilled because obviously it's a bad habit. I definitely feel more energy, less appetite and no raging hunger pangs.

Side Effects:

Everyone wants to know about the colon tea. I mean anything containing the word colon can be a little scary right? So here's the deal.... it makes you go to the bathroom... duh. It contains Senna which is a natural laxative, an herb and completely safe in a tea tox. For me it has not been unbearable or horrible, explosive, violent... so don't be scurred. If I drink the tea at bedtime I usually wake up in the early morning hours with a little crampy tummy, hit the bathroom and that's it. Maybe one more trip after I get up and get moving but overall completely doable. And bonus... you feel lighter after that!

Tangible Results:

Here is the kicker. As you know I am also doing the Whole30 in conjunction with this detox so I am not weighing myself for 30 days. I did however, take my measurements before I started and I re-took them yesterday. I am not going to share exact numbers yet but EVERY SINGLE measurement was smaller than last week (except my calf muscle... weird I know). Most noticeable drop was my waist, my problem area and where I carry all my weight and bloat. I am thrilled with this. I could tell this week as some of my rings were spinning on my hands, my fingers  get fat and bloated so this was a good indication to me that bloat was on the retreat!
