Anyway the weekend started off nicely with lunch date with one of my favorite fellow bloggers Amy from Getz Girl on Fire. Rescheduled only once due to crappy weather last week we actually pulled it off. I think this is the first real life blate I have had and we had a great time, proving my point once again that all Amy's are cool as shit. We hit it off instantly and it felt like we had known each other for realz for awhile. She is just as cool in person as she is on her blog and I definitely feel like I have a cool new friend now. Thank you Blog-Universe! We met at The Fickle Pickle, a cute little restaurant about half way between us and had a great lunch. Lack of food pictures because when we weren't eating it we were talking our faces off., but of course we had to order the yummy fried pickles. It was super fun and we will definitely be planning another meet up in the future!
Saturday morning I had Olivia home with me since she worked Friday night so of course we hd to go out to breakfast. It's hard when you have 3 kids to carve out alone time with each one so when the opportunity arises I always try to capitalize on it. They love going out somewhere alone with me just as much as I do. So Cracker Barrel it was for a good ole cheatin breakfast. It was my first carefully planned cheat and not a crazy one. Actually, I had planned on an entire biscuit for my big splurge but even that got halved due to a hungry teenager who ate her meal in 2 seconds flat and then proceeded to "share" mine too. I felt very good though about the choices I made. It took all I had not to order french toast or pancakes but I just couldn't bring myself to go that far off the wagon... so I choked down a few more eggs. Somehow they do taste a little more exciting in a restaurant though.
Saturday afternoon was spent wandering around the Antique Flea Market that comes to town every 3rd weekend of the month. I haven't been in ages and it was a nice way to kill a few hours and get out of my house for three whole dollars on a Saturday. I was good, I didn't buy anything even though I definitely saw some treasures. I love a good Cigar Store Indian...
Definitely feeling the rustic vibe this weekend and the framed black sea fans... I would have killed for.
Finished the weekend off with some delicious homemade chili, a few new art supplies because I miss sketching and drawing, some pants I haven't worn in two years
Have a great week everybody!
