Weekend Recap & A Give Away!!!

I had a super relaxing weekend and I did a whole lotta nothing out in the actual world. I did however get some stuff done inside my four walls which was very productive. It has been oddly cold here and this weekend it rained and was mostly overcast so that is pretty much the only excuse I need to hole up! I sat at my kitchen table and did some much needed planning for the next month or so in my life. 

Friday night started off with a little trip to my favorite tattoo shop after work for some new ink. I got my first tattoo last year and I have been itching ever since to get more. So... my friend who keeps bailing baled again (she has a lot going on) and I was fine with going alone but a friend from work came with. Which was nice because I realized this time for sure that I am one of those people that gets a little loopy when I get tattooed. It is the weirdest feeling ... endorphins I guess make me feel super relaxed and a little high... that's the only way I can describe it. It's so odd but I don't feel pain per se, I mean it's not pleasant, it stings but after a few minutes I just start feeling ... well just calm and a little fuzzy. So rather than drive straight home we decided to go next door to our favorite bar and  have a cocktail. Because when you're loopy and full of endorphins you should have a Ginger Mule with enough bourbon in it to make your Grandma proud. 

As for the tattoo...I love it... MF hurts now though.

I love the symbolism behind the arrow. It has to be pulled back before it can go forward and for the last ... I don't know how many years I have felt that I just keep getting pulled back, but I do go forward too. It's a constant struggle. I chose 3 because there are 3 meaningful things in the last year that I have gotten past... for good. Big things! And I have three beautiful kids that I do everything for, they keep me going. In fact they each chose the arrow that they wanted to represent them on my arm. And I really like the guy that inked me this time so ... I'll be back!
